it comes in a flash
like a white streak of lightning
it tears through the sky
and brightens
light
cutting
and twisting and
bending and curving
and snarled and
cankered
light
rippling like waves;
it hits in a SLAP and that's
when good,
though white it may be
can sting like a whip.

I like it! It reminds me of doing poetry in my 12th grade English class: Robert Frost, Pablo Neruda, Emily Dickinson... I never understood a word of it, but it was nice to read. :)
